About the Role

HR Operations Associates

Key Responsibilities

Tier 1 HR Operations Workday-Focused

  • Respond to routine employee HR queries via ServiceNow within defined SLAs.
  • Support employees on HR policies: PTO, holidays, benefits eligibility, etc.
  • Guide employees on Workday self-service actions (address, bank info, dependents, etc.).
  • Assist with login/access issues and help locate payslips, tax forms, and HR documents.
  • Process basic Workday transactions: personal info changes, simple approvals, data verification.
  • Support payroll-related questions (pay dates, deductions, direct deposit updates).
  • Help employees correct time-entry issues and leave-of-absence queries.
  • Assist candidates with system access and onboarding tasks (I-9 scheduling, Workday inbox issues).
  • Triage and route HR tickets to appropriate Tier 2/COE teams.

Tier 2 HR Operations – Workday (Advanced Case Management)

Handle complex Workday transactions: job changes, org restructures, compensation updates.

  • Maintain supervisory organizations, cost centers, positions, and HR configurations.
  • Troubleshoot Workday workflow and business process errors.
  • Investigate and resolve escalated HR cases requiring deeper analysis.
  • Execute or audit compensation cycles: merit, bonus, annual increments.
  • Support annual benefits enrollment, configuration checks, and corrections.
  • Audit payroll data and resolve integration failures or retro pay issues.
  • Support offboarding tasks: terminations, final pay, accrual payouts.
  • Create or modify Workday reports (matrix, composite, advanced reports).
  • Provide data extracts for HRBPs, Finance, and Legal.
  • Support integration error monitoring and work with HRIS/IT teams to resolve issues.
  • Assist in EIB uploads for mass data updates.

Required Skills & ExperienceMust-Have:

  • Strong hands-on experience in

    Workday HCM

  • Experience with

    employee data changes, Hire-to-Retire (H2R), HR transactions

  • Experience working in

    Tier 1 or Tier 2 HR Operations

  • Strong understanding of HR data accuracy, compliance, validations
  • Good communication skills and ability to handle employee queries

Preferred (Trainable if not strong):

  • ServiceNow (SNOW) ticketing

     – case creation, routing, SLA management
  • Experience with PeopleSoft (not mandatory; Workday is the priority)

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage high-volume tickets
  • Ownership, accountability, and strong follow-through
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, SLA-driven environment
