Job Title


The HR Manager will lead all aspects of the human resources function in an induction motor manufacturing setup. This includes workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, industrial relations, training and development, compliance with labor laws, and maintaining a productive and safe working environment. The HR Manager will serve as a strategic partner to department heads and provide tactical support on HR operations aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate campus hiring from ITIs, polytechnics, and engineering colleges for technical roles.

Ensure quick and efficient onboarding and induction processes for new hires.

  1. Workforce Planning & HR Operations
    Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality control departments to forecast and plan manpower requirements.

Oversee time office functions, attendance, payroll coordination, shift scheduling, and statutory documentation.

Implement HRIS systems for streamlined personnel management.

  1. Employee Relations & Industrial Relations
    Maintain harmonious industrial relations in coordination with shop floor supervisors and union representatives (if applicable).

Handle grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution while ensuring compliance with labor laws (Factories Act, Industrial Disputes Act, etc.).

Promote employee welfare and engagement initiatives on the shop floor and beyond.

  1. Performance Management
    Implement and manage performance appraisal systems across departments.

Drive performance improvement initiatives and support managers with feedback and goal-setting sessions.

  1. Training & Development
    Identify skill gaps in production and maintenance teams and coordinate technical and behavioral training programs.

Promote upskilling initiatives through partnerships with vocational institutes and external trainers.

 

  1. Health, Safety, and Compliance
    Collaborate with the safety officer to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety norms.

Conduct regular audits and awareness programs related to safety protocols.

Ensure timely renewal of labor licenses, ESI, PF, and statutory filings.

  1. HR Strategy & Culture Building
    Develop and implement HR policies in line with organizational objectives.

Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Support the organization in change management during expansions or technology upgrades.

Key Skills & Competencies

  1. Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  2. Experience managing blue-collar and technical workforce.
  3. Proficiency in MS Office, HRIS tools, and payroll systems.
  4. Ability to lead HR audits and ensure statutory compliance.

Qualifications & Experience

MBA/PGDM in HR preferred.

712 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing or engineering industry.

Prior experience in motor/electrical equipment manufacturing is an added advantage.
