Job Description

Position Title:

1. Position Purpose

To provide strategic and operational leadership to the HR function by developing and implementing HR strategies, systems, and processes that support business growth, workforce efficiency, and a high-performance culture. The role ensures effective people management, statutory compliance, employee engagement, and leadership capability across all stores and departments.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Strategic HR Leadership

  • Formulate and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals and growth plans of the company.
  • Partner with the leadership team to design and drive organizational culture, performance excellence, and employee retention initiatives.
  • Provide insights and analytics for manpower productivity, attrition trends, and workforce cost optimization.

B. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Forecast manpower requirements across showrooms, manufacturing, and HO functions.
  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment sourcing, selection, onboarding, and induction for all levels.
  • Build a strong talent pipeline for store-level operations and future leadership roles.

C. Performance Management & Appraisal Systems

  • Design and implement a transparent Performance Management System (PMS).
  • Define KRAs, KPIs, and goal-setting mechanisms for different roles.
  • Drive quarterly and annual reviews, linking performance with rewards and development.

D. Learning & Development

  • Conduct training need analysis (TNA) across all levels from sales staff to senior leadership.
  • Implement structured L&D programs (product knowledge, grooming, leadership, sales excellence, etc.).
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and maintain skill development dashboards.

E. Employee Engagement & Welfare

  • Build a culture of trust, motivation, and teamwork.
  • Plan and execute engagement activities, rewards and recognition programs, and feedback systems.
  • Address employee grievances and ensure effective communication between management and staff.

F. Compensation, Benefits & HR Operations

  • Design competitive C&B structures aligned with industry benchmarks.
  • Ensure timely payroll processing, attendance management, and leave administration.
  • Oversee employee records, contracts, and HRIS management.

G. Statutory Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure adherence to all labour laws, statutory filings, and HR audits (PF, ESIC, Gratuity, Shops & Establishments, etc.).
  • Liaise with consultants and government bodies for compliance-related matters.

H. Administration & Store HR Coordination

  • Oversee administrative functions housekeeping, safety, travel, facility management, etc.
  • Standardize HR operations across all branches and manufacturing units.
  • Conduct periodic HR audits at showroom and factory levels.

4. Qualification & Experience

  • Education:

    MBA / PGDM in Human Resource Management or equivalent.
  • Experience:

    Minimum 10–15 years in HR, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in

    retail, jewellery, or consumer-facing businesses

    .
  • Preferred:

    Experience in managing multi-location retail operations and scaling HR systems
