Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Onboarding

  • End-to-end recruitment for blue-collar (welders, fitters, machinists) and white-collar staff.
  • Coordinate with department heads to understand manpower requirements.
  • Manage onboarding process: joining formalities, documentation, induction programs.

2. Attendance & Payroll Management

  • Maintain daily attendance, leave records, overtime registers.
  • Coordinate with Accounts for monthly payroll processing.
  • Ensure statutory deductions (PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Gratuity) are accurate.

3. Statutory Compliance

  • Maintain compliance with labour laws (Factories Act, PF, ESI, CLRA, Shops & Establishments, etc.).
  • Coordinate with auditors / consultants for PF, ESI, bonus, gratuity, and other statutory returns.
  • Maintain updated HR registers as per statutory norms.

4. Training & Development

  • Plan skill development programs for welders, fitters, and operators.
  • Arrange soft-skill & safety training in coordination with Production & QA/QC.

5. Employee Engagement & Welfare

  • Handle employee grievances in a fair and timely manner.
  • Conduct periodic employee meetings, suggestion schemes, and welfare activities.
  • Monitor workplace discipline, punctuality, and morale.

6. Performance & Appraisal

  • Maintain employee database with performance history.
  • Support management in implementing appraisal systems.
  • Prepare MIS reports: manpower, attrition, recruitment status.

7. Administration Support

  • Manage contractor labour records, ID cards, PPE issuance, canteen coordination.
  • Support management in safety audits & ISO/ASME documentation (if required).

Skills & Competencies

  • Knowledge of HR laws, PF/ESI compliance.
  • Experience in handling blue-collar workforce.
  • Good communication in Tamil & English (Hindi is an advantage).
  • Proficient in MS Office / HRMS software.
  • Strong interpersonal & problem-solving skills.

Qualification & Experience

  • MBA / MSW (HR) or PG Diploma in HR.
  • 3–5 years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing / fabrication industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
