Company: The White Teak Company (by Asian Paints) Web: www.whiteteak.com Position: HR- Compliance & Operations Executive Location: Bangalore Experience: 2+ years Department: Human Resources Role Summary: The Labour Compliance, Statutory Compliance & Payroll Officer is responsible for ensuring full statutory compliance across labour laws, payroll processing, and employee documentation. The role includes coordinating with consultants for licenses and registrations, managing vendor compliance, maintaining accurate payroll, and overseeing attendance and leave tracking. The ideal candidate will ensure that all regulatory, legal, and employee-related processes are completed on time and with high accuracy. Key Responsibilities: 1. Labour Law & Statutory Compliance Ensure timely compliance with applicable labour laws such as the Shops & Establishment Act, Contract Labour Act, Minimum Wages Act, and Payment of Wages Act. Handle S&E (Shops & Establishment) Registration , Trade License applications , and renewals of various other licenses in collaboration with consultants and government authorities. Liaise with statutory bodies (PF, ESIC, Labour Department, etc.) for audits, notices, and inspections. Maintain up-to-date statutory registers, returns, and compliance documentation. 2. Payroll Management Process and verify monthly payroll, including earnings, deductions, bonuses, TDS, and reimbursements. Ensure accurate and timely payment of PF, ESIC, PT, TDS , and other statutory contributions. Maintain and update payroll data using payroll partner portal. 3. Leave and Attendance Management Manage and monitor employee attendance and leave records through HRMS or manual tracking systems. Reconcile attendance discrepancies and ensure proper mapping to payroll. Ensure timely updates of new joiners, resignations, and shift schedules. 4. Vendor Compliance Management Monitor third-party vendor/contractor compliance with labour regulations. Collect, verify, and maintain compliance documents from vendors (PF challans, ESIC returns, labour license, etc.). Escalate non-compliance issues and support resolution processes. 5. Audit Support Prepare for internal, external, and statutory audits related to labour and payroll compliance. Ensure accurate documentation and respond to audit queries promptly. 6. Reporting and Documentation Generate and submit monthly MIS reports on payroll, statutory payments, leave balances, and compliance status. Keep abreast of changes in labour laws and recommend updates to internal policies accordingly. Key Requirements: Bachelors degree in Commerce, Human Resources, or Business Administration . 2+ years of hands-on experience in statutory compliance, payroll processing, and labour law administration . Knowledge of Indian labour laws, payroll taxation, PF, ESIC, PT, TDS, and related filings. Familiarity with payroll and attendance management software .
