Job Title: HR & Business Operations Manager

Role Overview:

This role requires close collaboration with founders and senior stakeholders and carries significant responsibility for maintaining operational continuity, compliance, and internal coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources & People Management

  • Oversee and manage HR operations including, but not limited to, recruitment coordination, onboarding, employee lifecycle management, performance management processes, and exits.
  • Maintain HR policies, employment documentation, contracts, NDAs, and internal records in compliance with applicable laws and company standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws, statutory requirements, and internal governance frameworks, directly or through third-party vendors.
  • Coordinate payroll processing, attendance management, leave administration, and statutory filings.
  • Act as a point of escalation for employee relations, performance concerns, and workplace matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and documented handling.

Business Operations & Internal Execution

  • Support and manage day-to-day internal operations across teams as directed by leadership.
  • Monitor execution of assigned activities, tasks, and deliverables across functional teams.
  • Drive operational discipline, follow-through, and adherence to defined processes.
  • Facilitate coordination and information flow between different teams to support business objectives.
  • Assist leadership in translating strategic priorities into operational actions.

Process, Governance & Reporting

  • Establish, implement, and maintain internal processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and reporting mechanisms.
  • Track operational metrics, activity indicators, and performance data as defined by management.
  • Maintain accurate internal documentation, dashboards, and operational records.
  • Identify operational risks, gaps, or inefficiencies and escalate appropriately with recommended corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, timelines, and governance standards.

Strategic & Administrative Support

  • Support workforce planning, resource coordination, and organizational scaling initiatives.
  • Assist in implementing new tools, systems, workflows, or controls as required by the business.
  • Provide operational and administrative support to founders and senior leadership as needed.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities, assignments, or projects reasonably required to support business continuity and growth.

Authority & Accountability:

  • The role operates under the direction of company leadership and does not constitute a director-level or statutory authority unless explicitly assigned in writing.
  • Decision-making authority, budget responsibility, and people management scope will be defined and may be modified by management from time to time.
  • The role holder is expected to maintain confidentiality, act in the companys best interests, and comply with all internal policies and contractual obligations.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • 3 to 8 years of experience in HR, operations, business operations, or general management roles within IT services, consulting, or growth-stage organizations.
  • Working knowledge of Indian employment laws, HR operations, and organizational compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience managing internal processes, team coordination, and operational execution.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with evolving responsibilities and priorities.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and integrity.
