Job Title : GM/AGM/DGM – Billing Head Department : Revenue Cycle Management / Billing Reports to : CFO / Director – Finance / CEO Location : Hyderabad Employment Type : Full-time Job Summary The Billing Head (GM/AGM/DGM level) is responsible for overseeing and managing all billing operations within the hospital, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in billing processes across OPD, IPD, diagnostics, insurance, and TPA. The role involves strategic leadership, process optimization, and team management to ensure timely revenue realization and patient satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Operational Management : Oversee day-to-day billing operations across departments (IPD, OPD, diagnostics, pharmacy, etc.). Ensure timely generation and submission of bills with accuracy and completeness. Implement and monitor internal controls to prevent revenue leakage. Revenue Cycle & Compliance Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements in billing and coding. Coordinate with TPA/insurance desk for cashless/insurance claims, approvals, and reimbursements. Track revenue cycle KPIs (e.g., billing turnaround time, claim denial rate, DSO). Process Improvement Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance billing accuracy and efficiency. Leverage HIS (Hospital Information System) tools to automate and streamline billing workflows. Team Management Lead and mentor the billing team; ensure adequate staffing and performance reviews. Organize training sessions on billing policies, TPA updates, and software changes. Stakeholder Coordination Liaise with clinical departments, finance, audit, and IT for seamless billing operations. Address billing-related patient grievances and provide prompt resolutions. Qualifications Education : Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Finance/Healthcare Administration (mandatory). MBA/PGDM in Finance or Hospital Administration (preferred). Experience 10–20 years of relevant experience in hospital billing and revenue cycle management. Prior leadership experience at DGM/AGM/GM level in a reputed multispecialty hospital. Skills In-depth knowledge of healthcare billing systems, TPA processes, and revenue management. Proficiency in hospital ERP/HIS systems. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and team leadership skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
