The Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished professional to lead our Workforce Strategy & Deployment function—an enterprise-critical role driving the future of manpower planning and operational efficiency across India.

This role is at the intersection of data, operations, and strategy, enabling Blue Dart to forecast and allocate workforce requirements dynamically based on volume patterns, task complexity, time windows, and service commitments. The function spans full-time, contractual manpower—ensuring agility, compliance, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Workforce Planning

• Develop predictive manpower models aligned to volume trends, seasonality, and intraday operational cycles.
• Use analytics and AI-driven insights to forecast manpower requirements by location, shift, and process.
• Align staffing frameworks with evolving service demands, optimizing cost-to-serve and turnaround time.

Deployment Strategy & Governance

• Establish national workforce deployment frameworks integrating productivity, compliance, and cost benchmarks.
• Standardize deployment planning across full-time, contractual, and per-piece (PDA/MPC) models.
• Partner with Regional Operations and HR teams to ensure manpower sufficiency, skill match, and vendor performance.

Technology & Analytics

• Collaborate with IT to develop digital tools and dashboards for real-time staffing visibility and predictive alerts.
• Enable data-driven decision-making through workforce analytics (volume, SLA adherence, task completion time, etc.).

Vendor & Compliance Oversight

• Drive vendor governance, contract adherence, and statutory compliance reviews.
• Benchmark and monitor vendor performance scores across manpower categories.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with HR, Finance, and Operations to optimize manpower cost, drive compliance, and enhance deployment productivity.
• Support digital transformation in staffing processes in alignment with the DHL Smart Connect framework.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in Operations, Business, or HR.
• Experience: 22+ years of overall work exp and 7+ years of exp in manpower planning, workforce analytics, or operations strategy, ideally within logistics, supply chain, or e-commerce.
• Proven experience in using data or technology-based workforce management models.
• Strong knowledge of contract governance, vendor management, and labor law compliance.
