Educational Qualification Required

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering
• Additional certifications in process safety, risk assessment, or functional safety (e.g., HAZOP Leader, CFSE by Exida or TUV) preferred.
• CCPSC by CCPS

Experience Required

20+ years in both Industries and Consulting

Project Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in process safety consulting with at least 5 years in a leadership or business management role.
• Proven expertise in conducting and leading

  HAZOP, QRA, LOPA, RAM

  and other Process Hazard Analysis related technical safety studies.
• Experience across industries such as oil & gas, petrochemicals, chemicals, or pharmaceuticals.
• Knowledge of software’s – DNV PHAST and SAFETI, PHA Works, PHA Pro, HAZOP Leader, BowtieXP, RAM etc. is essential.

Purpose of the Position:

Key Role & Responsibility:

Technical Oversight & Project Delivery:

• Provide technical direction, review, and approvals for complex HAZOP, QRA (including associated studies, and functional safety studies.
• Oversee execution of projects to ensure technical quality, on-time delivery, and compliance with international safety standards.
• Engage in client consultations and present findings and risk mitigation strategies.
• Ensure continual improvement in study methodologies, tools, and templates.
• Support Process Safety Management related activities (E.g., Gap assessment, PSM Audits, Trainings, Competency Building Workshops etc.)

Team Leadership & Development:

• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of process safety engineers and consultants.
• Conduct skills gap analysis and implement training/upskilling programs.
• Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and safety.

Client Engagement & Relationship Management:

• Act as the key point of contact for major clients and strategic partners.
• Build long-term relationships with industry stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and technical experts.
• Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and repeat business.

Compliance & Quality Assurance:

• Ensure adherence to internal quality management systems and external regulatory requirements.
• Implement robust risk management practices within project execution.
• Stay updated with global best practices, evolving regulations, and industry trends.
