Job Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE, FUNCTION AND INFLUENCE JOB HAS ON THE ORGANIZATION:

Responsible for the timely submission of competitive and winning offers to the customers against their enquiries about obtaining orders. Responsibility includes preparing the technical proposal and estimating the cost of the projects accurately considering the materials, labor, machine, logistics and other expenses whilst preparing the estimation and ensured that all are covered while submitting the offer.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Timely submission of Technical / Budgetary offers

    Review the project specification of the customers.

    Collect required design and technical details (TDC) from the Design department.

    Prepare the Technical offer and submit to customers to collect quotes from the vendors

    Prepare the budgetary offers as per the quote received from the vendors and suppliers and other costs.

    Submit the offers on time without any extension request.

    Discuss and follow up with the customers for an update, prepare the commercial offer and timely submission

    Timely Submission of profitable and winnable commercial offers

    Calculate accurately without any errors and omissions in the offer.

    Estimate cost for the project based on the preliminary design

    Competitive at the same time expected margin to be maintained as per the policy of TEAM.

    Review the proposal with the sales & marketing team before the submission for strategically position the projects and TEAM with the customers.

    Collaborate with other internal and external stakeholders to win orders.

    Optimize the design and raw material quantity and ensure the lowest possible cost of major raw materials

    Closely work with the customers for closing orders, clarifying the technical and commercial queries as per the SOP.

    Develop vendors to receive best quote for project enquiries

    Identify suitable vendors and suppliers for obtaining quotations.

    Negotiate with the vendors for competitive prices.

    Agree with the vendors for timely delivery of materials

    Ensure the vendor is meeting the requirements and specifications of the customer enquiries.

    Strategically develop vendors and suppliers for competitive quotations.

    Regularly monitor the prices of various Suppliers & materials to update costing sheet.

    keep track of trends of materials and duty structure

    4.

    Conduct CRM as per SOP

    Present the project details to the stakeholders for executing the projects on receipt of orders from the customers.

    Present the budget, supplier and vendor details for negotiating and placing the orders.

    SKILLS

    Knowledge of Process Equipment / Manufacturing / Engineering

    Knowledge of Estimation and proposal preparation

    Knowledge of Process Equipment design and materials

    Knowledge of costing

    Knowledge of International Codes and Procedures ASME,TEMA, ISO systems and procedures

    Knowledge of Process Equipment / Manufacturing / Engineering

    Knowledge of Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers, Reactors, Column, Pressure vessels, pumps, and other process equipment.

    Knowledge of tools like PV Elite, AutoCAD, HTRI, MS Excel
