Head-Packaging

As a Packaging Head at Siemens Energy, you will oversee all aspects of the packaging processes to ensure products are packaged efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards. Your responsibilities will include: - Overseeing all daily packaging operations to ensure products are packaged efficiently, safely, and on schedule. This involves managing the flow of finished goods from the production line to the packaging area. - Developing and implementing packaging strategies to reduce costs, minimize waste, and incorporate sustainable practices without compromising product quality. - Leading the design and development of protective and cost-effective packaging solutions using appropriate materials to withstand transportation for heavy industrial equipment. - Managing and mentoring the packaging team by hiring, training, and evaluating performance to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement. - Working closely with other departments to ensure a seamless workflow and alignment with company goals. - Implementing quality control procedures to ensure packaging meets or exceeds industry standards and regulatory requirements. - Managing the department's budget, overseeing inventory, and analyzing metrics to identify areas for improvement. - Building and maintaining relationships with packaging suppliers and external vendors. Qualifications required for this role: - A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is often preferred. - 15+ years of experience in packaging or operations management within a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably with heavy machinery or industrial equipment. - Strong knowledge of packaging materials, machinery, processes, and design principles. - Excellent leadership, team-building, and organizational skills. - Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Strong communication skills for coordinating with different departments and reporting progress to senior management. - Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
