Head – Special Safety Studies

🎓 Educational Requirements

Chemical Engineering

✔ Additional certifications preferred:

HAZOP Leader

CFSE (Exida/TÜV)

CCPSC (CCPS)

• Functional Safety certifications

🧪 Experience & Expertise Required

We are looking for someone with:

🔹 20+ years of total experience

(in both industry & consulting)

🔹 Minimum 10 years in Process Safety Consulting

5 years in a leadership or business management role

🔹 Proven Expertise In:

• Leading

  HAZOP, QRA, LOPA, RAM

  studies
• Functional Safety (

  SIL Assessment, SIL Verification, SRS

  )
• Client-facing safety consulting
• Managing multidisciplinary technical teams
• Driving Process Safety Management (PSM) initiatives

🔹 Essential Tools/Software Knowledge

• DNV PHAST, SAFETI

• PHA Works / PHA Pro

• BowTieXP

• RAM software/tools

🛠 Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Provide expert review & approvals for high-end PHA and Functional Safety studies
• Ensure project quality, compliance & delivery excellence
• Support PSM activities (audits, gap assessments, competency programs)

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor & upskill safety engineers
• Build technical depth within the team
• Promote a culture of innovation & continuous learning

Client Engagement

• Act as the primary contact for major clients
• Present findings, risk insights & mitigation strategies
• Drive client satisfaction & repeat business

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to internal QMS and global standards
• Implement risk management best practices
• Stay updated on evolving safety regulations & industry trends
