Job Description

Role & responsibilities

The Head of Sales will be responsible for driving the companys revenue growth, leading a

high-performing sales team, and expanding market penetration. The ideal candidate will

have extensive experience in FMCG sales, deep market insights, and a strategic mindset to

propel Solamalais continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement strategies to achieve aggressive sales

targets.

  • Revenue Growth: Drive topline growth across product categories and business verticals.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 450+ sales executives to maximize

performance.

  • Market Expansion: Identify new market opportunities, expand retailer reach, and

strengthen distribution channels.

  • Retail & Distributor Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships

with key retailers and trade partners.

  • Sales Analytics & Forecasting: Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and provide

data-driven insights for business decisions.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, operations, and finance

teams to optimize sales strategies.

  • Competitive Intelligence: Stay ahead of market trends, pricing strategies, and competitor

activities.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Experience: 10+ years of proven success in sales leadership roles, preferably in FMCG,

retail, or distribution businesses.

  • Education: MBA or equivalent in Sales/Marketing preferred.
  • Leadership & People Management: Strong ability to lead large teams and drive high

performance.

  • Strategic Thinking: Expertise in developing long-term sales plans and market expansion

strategies.

  • Negotiation & Communication: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder

management skills.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong analytical skills, proficiency in sales forecasting,

market analysis, and CRM tools.

  • Result-Oriented Approach: A track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
