Head of Engineering

As the Head of Engineering for REA Cyber City, your role is to lead a world-class engineering team, drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, and deliver high-quality solutions that add significant business value. You will be a key member of the REA Cyber City Leadership Team and collaborate closely with senior leaders to shape the future of the organization. **Key Responsibilities:** - Cultivate a Continuous Improvement (CI) culture to drive innovation in business processes and engineering delivery. - Champion an engineering culture focused on quality, collaboration, and technical excellence. - Ensure the internal and external quality of deliverables from REA Cyber City. - Lead your team to leverage emerging technologies for maximum organizational value. - Establish and uphold high engineering standards and governance practices. - Collaborate with technology leaders across Business Units to ensure successful outcomes. - Develop and strengthen engineering, delivery, and technical capabilities. - Identify and recruit top talent in emerging technologies and critical areas. - Lead outreach programs and mentorship initiatives within the tech community. - Facilitate knowledge sharing through internal collaborative communities. - Mentor and empower tech and delivery leads for future leadership roles. - Translate strategy into actionable plans in collaboration with the Global Technology Leadership Team. - Define and own the tech strategy for REA Cyber City in partnership with the Chief Technology Officer. - Partner with HR to enhance people processes for attracting, retaining, and developing talent. - Define career paths and growth opportunities in collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer. - Promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives for an inclusive environment. - Conduct performance reviews and career development conversations. - Collaborate on the center's purpose as a hub for engineering excellence and innovation. **Qualifications Required:** - Proven success in building and managing scale-up engineering teams in fast-paced environments. - Experience in building and scaling high-performing engineering organizations. - Deep knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices. - Passion for continuous improvement and innovation. - Strong leadership skills to motivate and mentor a diverse team. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Strategic thinking with an understanding of technology trends. - Experience in fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
