As the Head of Engineering for REA Cyber City, your role will involve leading a world-class engineering team to drive innovation and deliver high-quality solutions that create significant business value. You will be a key member of the REA Cyber City Leadership Team and collaborate closely with senior leaders to shape the future of the organization. **Key Responsibilities:** - Cultivate a Continuous Improvement (CI) culture to drive innovation in business processes and engineering delivery. - Prioritize quality, collaboration, and technical excellence within the engineering culture. - Ensure the quality of deliverables from REA Cyber City, both internally and externally. - Lead your team to leverage emerging technologies for maximum organizational value. - Establish and uphold high engineering standards and governance practices. - Collaborate with technology leaders across Business Units to ensure successful outcomes. - Proactively build engineering, delivery, and technical capabilities at REA Cyber City. - Identify and recruit top talent in emerging technologies. - Engage in outreach programs and mentorship initiatives within the local tech community. - Foster internal communities for knowledge sharing and drive cross-pollination of ideas. - Mentor and develop tech and delivery leads to empower them as future leaders. - Translate strategic plans into actionable initiatives within the technology leadership team. - Define and own the tech strategy for REA Cyber City in conjunction with the CTO. - Develop and implement people processes to attract, retain, and develop talent. - Define career paths and growth opportunities in collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer. - Champion Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives. - Conduct performance reviews and career development conversations with team members. - Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer to accelerate the center's purpose as a hub for engineering excellence and innovation. **Qualifications Required:** - Proven success in building and managing scale-up engineering teams. - Experience in building and scaling high-performing engineering organizations. - Deep understanding of software development methodologies and best practices. - Passion for continuous improvement and innovation. - Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Strategic thinking with an understanding of technology trends. - Experience in fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. **Additional Details:** - REA Cyber City is an extension of REA Group, collaborating with the Australia HQ on local projects and tech delivery. - The organization fosters a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing among its global brands.,
