Job Description

The Head of Direct Sales (Digital Ads) is responsible for leading the direct sales team to drive ad sales revenue growth, customer acquisition, and market expansion. This role requires a results-oriented leader with a strong background in enterprise and media sales, strategic relationship management, and business development. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the digital sales strategy, building a high-performing team, and fostering key alliances that enhance the company’s reach and competitive advantage. The candidate must have a strong understanding in the digital advertising ecosystem and should be able to position OLX India as a preferred advertiser for key industry verticals along with agency partnerships. What you will be doing: Develop and execute an ad sales strategy aligned with business goals. Build, lead, and motivate a high-performing direct sales team across regions or segments Set ambitious sales targets and monitor performance to ensure consistent achievement Conduct regular training, coaching to enhance team capabilities Identify new advertising opportunities and create tailored solutions for clients Establish and nurture relationships with key advertisers, media buyers, and agencies Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product, finance, legal) to ensure partnership success. Forecast sales and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and return on investment (ROI). Manage budgets, pricing strategies, and yield optimization to maximize revenue Oversee compliance and ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices What we are looking for: Should be MBA/PG in Sales & Marketing with 10+ years of experience in advertising sales or media sales, with at least 4 years in a leadership role Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in a fast-paced environment Strong network and experience in the advertising landscape (digital, social etc.) Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability Familiarity with ad tech and measurement tools, strong data interpretation skills What we'll give you: Work in a fast paced multi-category business environment An opportunity to learn and develop with an established market leader Positive & an exciting environment to work with solid exposure to cross-functional business teams & multiple categories At OLX India , we are committed to creating a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace.
