Work Timings: 10am - 7pm IST or 1pm - 10pm IST depending on the role
Working Days: Monday to Friday, with 2 alternate Saturdays working

As the Head of Design (Email Marketing), you will lead a team of designers focused on producing high-impact, conversion-driven email campaigns for global eCommerce brands.
You’ll be the creative anchor of the department - responsible for driving design quality, mentoring talent, and collaborating cross-functionally with Operations, Development, and Copy teams. You’ll set the tone for design standards, build scalable systems, and lead creative initiatives that directly influence brand outcomes.
Your role goes beyond visual design. You’ll be creating a design culture that values craftsmanship, discipline, and growth - where every project delivers measurable impact.
As the Head of Design, you’ll focus on Creative Leadership (40%), Team Development and Systems (35%), and Cross-Functional Collaboration (25%).

Define the creative direction and uphold design excellence across all client campaigns.

Conduct creative reviews and ensure design output aligns with brand tone, strategy, and performance goals.

Encourage experimentation while maintaining visual consistency and brand discipline.

Build and maintain Optimite’s design system and component libraries in Figma.

Work with the Head of Operations to streamline workflows, define SOPs, and improve design-to-dev handoffs.

5+ years of experience in design with at least 2 years in a leadership or mentorship role.

Strong understanding of digital design for performance campaigns (email, web, or product).

Hands-on expertise in Figma, with experience setting up and managing libraries.

Deep understanding of responsive design and QA standards.

Proven ability to balance creativity, timelines, and process rigor.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Prior experience in email design or working with ESPs like Klaviyo, Omnisend, or Mailchimp.

Exposure to B2B or eCommerce campaign environments.

Familiarity with HTML email rendering constraints.

Experience building or managing remote creative teams.

Comfort with design analytics, A/B testing, and performance reviews.
