Moutan is our bold, fast-growing brand that delivers a modern take on authentic Asian dishes in a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) format. We’re known for our bubble tea, vibrant café vibe, and signature items like hand-pulled noodles, custard brioche, and onigiri. We Are Hiring: We are looking for an experienced, creative, and reliable Head Chef to lead our kitchen and oversee the entire store operations, including baristas and the beverage bar. If you're passionate about Asian cuisine and have the leadership to manage a high-paced service kitchen and café-style operation, we want to hear from you. Requirements: 6–8 years of professional kitchen experience , with at least 2–3 years in a senior or Head Chef role . University degree is strongly preferred Expertise in Asian cuisine is essential. Experience in a QSR or fast-moving café/restaurant is highly desirable. Strong leadership and team management skills – must be able to supervise the entire team, including baristas and bar operations . Solid background in inventory management and food cost control . Experience in pastry and dessert creation is a plus. Proficiency in food hygiene and kitchen safety protocols . Experience with tea brewing and beverage preparation is highly desirable. Strong kitchen discipline and work ethic – punctual, organised, and quality-focused. Proficiency in MS Office skills. Tamil speaking ability is preferred; English communication skills are essential. Responsibilities: Lead daily kitchen operations and coordinate with the beverage team to ensure smooth service across hot food, dessert, and drinks. Prepare and manage the execution of signature dishes Train, manage, and support both kitchen staff and baristas to uphold brand quality and efficiency. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene, and compliance with safety regulations. Take full control of inventory management , stock ordering, and waste minimisation. Ensure every item served meets brand standards for quality, consistency, and presentation. Collaborate with management on menu development, SOPs, cost control, and customer satisfaction strategies.
