Position Overview

The Head Bartender is responsible for leading the bar operations, ensuring beverage quality, service consistency, and guest satisfaction. This role involves crafting innovative cocktail menus, training bar staff, maintaining cost control, and ensuring the bar embodies the creative and relaxed Artjuna spirit.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical knowledge of beverages with strong leadership and a naturally hospitable personality.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership

• Supervise and manage all bar operations during service hours.
• Maintain beverage quality, presentation, and consistency across all outlets.
• Oversee setup, cleanliness, and closing protocols of the bar area.
• Ensure compliance with Goa Excise Rules, food safety, and hygiene standards.

Beverage Innovation & Menu Development

• Design and update Artjuna’s seasonal cocktail & mocktail menus.
• Incorporate locally inspired ingredients and sustainability-driven concepts.
• Coordinate with chefs for food & beverage pairings.
• Introduce signature Artjuna cocktails that reflect the brand’s personality.

Team Management & Training

• Train, mentor, and develop bartenders, barbacks, and service staff.
• Conduct workshops on mixology, beverage knowledge, and customer interaction.
• Maintain a positive, creative, and disciplined team environment.
• Build cross-training between café and bar teams for brand uniformity.

Inventory & Cost Control

• Maintain accurate stock levels of spirits, mixers, glassware, and equipment.
• Implement inventory control systems in coordination with the Purchase and Central Warehouse teams.
• Monitor wastage and cost efficiency without compromising quality.

Guest Experience & Brand Representation

• Interact with guests to recommend drinks and personalize experiences.
• Ensure Artjuna’s core values of hospitality, creativity, and authenticity are reflected behind the bar.
• Uphold the brand mottos — “Start your day with a smile” and “Come as you are” — through approachable, friendly service.
• Handle guest feedback gracefully and turn every experience into a memorable one.

Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure all excise, inventory, and daily bar reports are accurately maintained.
• Coordinate with Management for license renewals and inspections.
• Prepare daily/weekly sales and performance summaries for review.

Key Skills & Attributes

• Excellent knowledge of spirits, mixology, coffee, and non-alcoholic beverage trends.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail, hygiene, and safety standards.
• Creative and proactive mindset — ability to think beyond traditional bar service.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Hindi and Konkani is an advantage.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 4–6 years of bar experience, including 2 years in a senior or head bartender role.
• Certification in bartending/mixology preferred.
• Experience in managing high-volume café/bar environments.
• Proven ability to train and lead a team effectively.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
