Head Barista

The Head Barista is responsible for leading the café’s beverage operations — ensuring top-quality coffee, tea, smoothies, and other specialty drinks are consistently served with excellence. This role requires hands-on expertise in coffee preparation, customer service, and team management, along with the ability to train and inspire baristas while maintaining a positive café culture aligned with LA SANTE’s “Healthy & Fresh” philosophy.

Key Responsibilities:

Coffee & Beverage Operations

• Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based and manual brew coffees, teas, and healthy beverages.
• Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and quality across all beverages.
• Develop and experiment with new coffee-based and health drink recipes.
• Ensure proper use, calibration, and maintenance of coffee machines and brewing equipment.

Leadership & Training

• Supervise barista team performance and ensure smooth shift operations.
• Train new and existing staff on beverage preparation, hygiene, and customer service standards.
• Lead by example during peak hours to maintain speed, quality, and composure.

Inventory & Quality Control

• Manage stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
• Coordinate with the manager for ordering and restocking as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the bar and service area.

Customer Service

• Create an engaging and welcoming environment for all customers.
• Handle customer queries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism.
• Promote café products and loyalty programs where applicable.

Administrative & Reporting

• Maintain daily sales records and wastage logs.
• Monitor bar costs and assist in controlling beverage-related expenses.
• Support café manager with shift schedules and staff evaluations.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Senior Barista / Head Barista.
• Strong knowledge of coffee brewing methods, latte art, and café operations.
• Passion for healthy and sustainable food & beverages.
• Leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate team members.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Basic knowledge of inventory and POS systems.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time, 6 days a week (rotational shifts).
