HEAD ACCOUNTANT

Job Title: Head Accountant – Jewellery Showroom Location: [RAIPUR] Job Type: Full-time Experience: 10+ years in accounting (preferably in the retail or jewellery industry)Reporting to: Managing Director / Owner Job Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Head Accountant to oversee all financial activities at our jewellery showroom. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounts, inventory valuation, daily cash and bank transactions, and ensuring compliance with taxation and auditing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management:
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations (billing, invoicing, petty cash, bank reconciliation, etc.)
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Manage general ledger and ensure accurate bookkeeping
• Monitor and manage accounts receivable/payable
• Inventory & Costing:
• Maintain accurate stock valuation based on gold rates and diamond pricing
• Monitor inventory movement and losses, conduct periodic stock audits
• Work closely with the sales team to ensure correct pricing and billing
• Taxation & Compliance:
• Prepare and file GST returns, TDS, and other applicable taxes
• Ensure compliance with government regulations, company policies, and statutory audits
• Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities
• Team Leadership:
• Lead and supervise a team of junior accountants and cashiers
• Train accounting staff on SOPs and systems
• Coordinate with showroom managers on financial procedures
• MIS & Reporting:
• Generate financial statements, daily sales & collection reports
• Provide insights to management for budgeting and forecasting
• Maintain records for vendor payments, customer advances, and old gold purchases

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CA Inter / CMA Inter preferred (not mandatory)
• Proficient in Tally ERP, MS Excel, and inventory management systems
• Strong understanding of gold/diamond pricing, purity, and weight systems

Skills Required:

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹48,000.00 per month
