Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a skilled HCC Coder, based in Chennai. The HCC Coder will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing medical records to assign accurate HCC (Hierarchical Condition Category) diagnostic codes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The role involves reviewing documentation to confirm the accuracy of coding, collaborating with healthcare providers for proper reporting, and submitting data for claims and assessment. The candidate will also be tasked with maintaining up-to-date knowledge of ICD-10-CM coding guidelines and ensuring compliance with CMS risk adjustment policies.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in HCC coding and a strong understanding of ICD-10-CM coding guidelines
• Knowledge of risk adjustment models, CMS regulations, and compliance requirements
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing and analyzing medical records
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with healthcare providers and teams
• Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CRC, or equivalent) is mandatory
• Previous experience in medical billing, coding, or a healthcare-related role is a plus
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and coding tools/software
• Ability to work independently in an on-site environment and demonstrate adherence to compliance standards
