Hardware & Networking Engineer

1. Networking Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN networks
• Troubleshoot network issues related to switches, routers, firewalls, and access points
• Monitor network performance, security, and availability
• Implement network security measures (firewall rules, access control, antivirus)
• Coordinate with ISPs and vendors for internet, MPLS, and leased line issues
• Maintain IP addressing, VLANs, and network documentation

Hardware & System Support

• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop, laptop, printers, scanners, biometric devices, and peripherals
• Assembly and troubleshooting of computer hardware components
• Perform preventive maintenance and hardware health checks
• Manage hardware inventory, AMC, and warranty support
• Coordinate with vendors for repair and replacement

3. Server & System Support (if applicable)

• Basic administration of Windows / Linux servers
• User account management (Active Directory / Local users)
• File server, print server, and backup support
• Assist in system upgrades and data backups

4. IT Helpdesk & User Support

• Provide L1/L2 IT support to employees
• Resolve tickets related to hardware, software, and network issues
• Install and configure operating systems and standard software
• Educate users on basic IT policies and best practices

5. Security & Compliance

• Ensure antivirus updates and system patching
• Support data security, access control, and IT policies
• Assist in audits and compliance requirements
• Report security incidents and system vulnerabilities

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls
• Hardware troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of Windows OS and basic Linux
• Understanding of IT security practices
• Problem-solving and communication skills

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• Certifications preferred:
• CCNA / Network+
• Microsoft / Hardware certifications

Experience

• 3–6 years for Engineer / Senior role

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
