Role Summary

This is a business ownership role where analysis is a means to action. You will be expected to go beyond insights and use data to identify opportunities, make decisions, and execute initiatives that directly impact user retention and growth.

We are looking for a strong analytical thinker who wants to work closer to the business — someone who enjoys understanding customer behaviour, designing experiments, and owning outcomes end-to-end. This role sits at the intersection of data, customer experience, product, and growth execution.

You will build cohorts and analyse why users of each cohort come, why they stay or churn, and what drives repeat usage — and then act on those insights by building lifecycle journeys, running experiments, and improving how users experience Yulu.

This role is ideal for a Business Analyst who wants to evolve into a Growth / CRM / Retention role with real ownership and measurable impact.


Key Responsibilities

1. Retention & Lifecycle Ownership (Core)

  • Own retention and reactivation outcomes across key user cohorts
  • Identify drop-offs across the user lifecycle and prioritize growth opportunities
  • Design and optimize lifecycle journeys across push, SMS, WhatsApp, email and in-app
  • Work with Product and Ops to drive feature adoption and repeat usage


2. Data Analysis & Tool-Led Insights (Core)

  • Analyze user behaviour using data from GA4, SQL, Metabase and CRM tools
  • Stitch data across sources to build a clear view of the end-to-end user journey
  • Translate insights into clear actions, experiments and business recommendations
  • Be hands-on with tools — quickly learn, evaluate and deploy what the problem demands
  • 3. Experimentation & Scaled Execution (Core)

    • Design and run experiments across messaging, incentives, timing and channels
    • Define success metrics, measure impact and iterate rapidly
    • Build automation using triggers, workflows and APIs/webhooks
    • Create repeatable playbooks to scale what works


    4. Acquisition & Call Centre Ownership (Adjacency)

    • Support acquisition and onboarding initiatives where they intersect with retention
    • Own funnel tracking and conversion measurement across early lifecycle stages
    • Manage call centre cohorts, scripts, utilization and outcome tracking
    • Use call insights to refine targeting, messaging and user journeys


    What We’re Looking For

    Must-Haves

    • Strong analytical skills and comfort with data (Excel/Sheets, SQL, etc)
    • Ability to build hypotheses and test them scientifically
    • A “builder mindset” — you enjoy creating structure, systems, and automation
    • Ownership, hunger to learn, and willingness to go into details


    Good to Haves

    • Experience with CRM tools (MoEngage etc) & exposure to GA4, MMPs, Metabase etc
    • Experience running experiments or lifecycle campaigns
    • Understanding of APIs/webhooks/automation basics
