Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Government Sales Specialist / Government Account Manager to join our team in Delhi. This is a full-time, on-site position perfect for a results-driven professional who thrives in the government sector landscape. You will be responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with government institutions, navigating complex procurement processes, and driving revenue growth within the public sector.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies targeting government institutions and public sector organizations
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, procurement officers, and government officials
• Navigate government tender processes, RFP responses, and compliance requirements
• Identify new business opportunities within central, state, and local government sectors
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction
• Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
• Maintain detailed records of client interactions, sales activities, and market intelligence
• Represent the company at government events, trade shows, and industry conferences
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field
• 3-7 years of proven experience in government sales, public sector account management, or B2G sales
• Deep understanding of government procurement processes, tender procedures, and compliance requirements
• Strong network within government institutions and public sector organizations
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple complex sales cycles
• Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Desired Experience
• Experience with GeM (Government e-Marketplace) portal and government procurement platforms
• Knowledge of government policies, regulations, and decision-making processes
• Previous experience in technology solutions, infrastructure, or services sales to government
• Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets in the government sector
• Professional certifications in sales, account management, or public administration
