Role Overview:

The Gold Processing Manager will lead and oversee all gold processing operations for White Gold in the assigned state. This role involves supervising transaction executives and leads in handling collection, verification, stone removal, melting, certification, and sale of gold. The manager will ensure end-to-end accuracy, security, and compliance in processing while driving efficiency and discipline across the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Gold Processing Operations:
- Oversee receipt and collection of gold from branches.
- Verify weight against billing, flag discrepancies, and ensure corrective action.
- Supervise stone removal, re-weighing, and melting processes.
- Ensure purity certification of gold bars by authorized 3rd-party agencies.
- Conduct final weight verification and approval before sale.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and monitor transaction executives and leads handling gold processing tasks.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs and sequence of operations.
- Build discipline, accountability, and process consistency within the team.
- Conduct training and mentoring for operational excellence.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate transaction records and reports for each stage of processing.
- Ensure gold movement, processing, and sale comply with company policies and audit requirements.
- Liaise with Finance, Audit, and Security teams for checks and reconciliations.
Market Transactions:
- Lead the sale of processed gold in the open market to approved bidders.
- Negotiate and finalize transactions ensuring best value for the company.
- Track market trends and provide insights on timing, demand, and pricing.
Control & Risk Management:
- Enforce security measures to safeguard gold during movement and processing.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to handling and sales.
- Escalate discrepancies or irregularities immediately to senior management.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Deep knowledge of gold processing, purity checks, and melting procedures.
High integrity and attention to detail in handling high-value assets.
Negotiation and commercial acumen for dealing with market bidders.
Process-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

Graduate / Postgraduate in Commerce, Business, or relevant field.
8 10 years of experience in the gold/precious metals industry with exposure to processing, certification, and sales.
Prior experience in leading gold processing teams is mandatory.
Knowledge of compliance, security, and industry best practices in gold trade.
