As a new venture, we are looking for a foundational leader to build our brand, our team, and our reputation from the ground up, working directly with the owner to bring this vision to life.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee all aspects of our restaurant and business operations. You will be the driving force behind the restaurant's success, responsible for everything from daily operations and team leadership to financial performance and guest satisfaction. This is a hands-on role that requires a strategic mind and an entrepreneurial spirit. You will have significant autonomy and will report directly to the owner.

Key Responsibilities:

* Complete Operational Oversight: Manage all front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) operations to ensure seamless and high-quality service.

* Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, mentor, and manage all staff. Foster a positive, high-performance culture focused on teamwork and excellence.

* Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets, oversee P&L statements, control operational costs (especially food and labor costs), and maximize profitability.

* Procurement & Vendor Management: Establish relationships with top-tier suppliers to source the highest quality fresh seafood and other ingredients. Oversee inventory management and stock control.

* Guest Experience Champion: Ensure every guest receives an exceptional experience. Proactively address guest feedback, resolve any issues, and build a loyal customer base.

* Compliance & Standards: Uphold the highest standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene, ensuring full compliance with all FSSAI and local regulations.

* Reporting & Strategy: Provide regular, detailed reports to the owner on key performance metrics. Collaborate with the owner on business strategy, marketing initiatives, and future growth.

What We're Looking For (Qualifications):

* Proven Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of progressive management experience in the restaurant/hospitality industry. Experience in a fine dining or specialty restaurant is highly preferred.

* Seafood Savvy: A genuine passion for and deep knowledge of seafood—including sourcing, handling, quality checks, and culinary pairing—is a significant advantage.

* Strong Financial Acumen: Demonstrated ability to read and manage a P&L, create budgets, and control costs effectively.

* Exceptional Leadership Skills: A natural leader who can inspire and motivate a team to achieve excellence.

* Customer-Obsessed: A relentless focus on providing outstanding customer service.

* Problem-Solver: Resourceful and able to think on your feet in a fast-paced environment.

* Education: A degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is desirable.

* Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Pune.
