Role Summary
The General Manager Sales will be responsible for leading and driving overall sales performance across multiple channels including Export Sales, E-Commerce, Tele-Marketing, and Private Label/OEM Sales. This is a senior leadership role requiring strong strategic planning, team management, revenue growth, and market expansion capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Overall Sales Leadership
- Develop and execute annual and long-term sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share across all sales verticals.
- Set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and ensure achievement across departments.
- Monitor sales performance through MIS reports, dashboards, and KPIs.
2. Export Sales Management
- Lead export business development for hygiene and disposable products.
- Identify new international markets, distributors, and private label partners.
- Handle distributor appointments, negotiations, contracts, and pricing strategies.
- Coordinate with logistics, compliance, and documentation teams for smooth exports.
- Participate in international exhibitions, buyer meetings, and virtual B2B platforms.
3. E-Commerce Sales
- Oversee sales on platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, Quick Commerce, and company-owned website.
- Manage listing optimization, pricing, promotions, ad campaigns, and marketplace growth.
- Monitor ROAS, CAC, conversion rates, and product rankings.
- Coordinate with digital marketing and operations teams.
4. Tele-Marketing & Institutional Sales
- Build, train, and manage the tele-sales and inside sales teams.
- Define call scripts, lead funnels, CRM processes, and conversion frameworks.
- Drive B2B, hospitals, HORECA, distributors, pharmacies, and corporate sales.
5. Private Label / OEM Sales
- Lead private label business for domestic and export clients.
- Handle RFQs, product development coordination, costing, MOQs, and client on-boarding.
- Work closely with production, quality, and procurement for successful execution.
6. Channel Development
- Appoint distributors, stockists, super stockists, and channel partners across India.
- Build region-wise sales networks and improve market penetration.
- Create incentive programs and performance management systems for channel partners.
7. Team Building & Leadership
- Recruit, mentor, and evaluate sales managers and team leaders across verticals.
- Build a high-performance, target-driven, and accountable sales culture.
- Conduct regular reviews, training programs, and motivational initiatives.
8. Strategic Planning & Market Intelligence
- Analyse competition, pricing trends, customer behaviour, and new opportunities.
- Launch new products, promotions, and go-to-market strategies.
- Work closely with marketing, production, finance, and supply chain teams.

Qualification Requirements
- MBA / PGDM in Marketing, International Business, Sales, or Business Management (Preferred)
- Graduate in any discipline (Minimum requirement)
Experience Required
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of core sales experience
- At least 3 to 5 years in a senior leadership / GM / Head of Sales role
- Proven experience in:
- Export sales
- E-commerce sales
- Channel/distributor management
- OEM / Private label business
- Prior experience in FMCG, Hygiene, Medical Disposables, Pharmaceuticals, or Consumer Products is highly preferred
