Location: Dadar, Mumbai Property Type: Boutique Hotel (15 Rooms + Restaurant) Reports To: Owner/Director Experience Required: Minimum 5–10 years in hotel operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role Education: Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management Position Overview The General Manager (GM) will oversee all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional guest experiences, financial performance, and adherence to brand standards. This role requires a dynamic leader capable of driving operational excellence, fostering a positive workplace culture, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. Key Responsibilities 1. Operational Leadership Manage daily hotel operations across all departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Maintenance, and Security. Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), health & safety regulations, and brand standards. Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high-quality service delivery. 2. Financial Management Develop and manage the hotel's annual operating budget, including revenue forecasting, expense control, and capital expenditures. Monitor financial performance through key metrics such as GOP, ADR, RevPAR, and occupancy rates. Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality. 3. Guest Experience & Quality Assurance Lead initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty. Address guest complaints and feedback promptly, ensuring service recovery procedures are followed. Monitor guest feedback through surveys, online reviews, and direct interactions to identify areas for improvement. 4. Team Development & Leadership Recruit, train, and retain a high-performing team of department heads and staff. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Conduct regular performance appraisals and provide coaching for career development. 5. Sales & Marketing Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to develop strategies for revenue generation and market positioning. Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify new opportunities. Represent the hotel at industry events, conferences, and community engagements. 6. Owner & Stakeholder Relations Maintain regular communication with hotel owners, providing updates on performance and strategic initiatives. Ensure alignment between ownership objectives and hotel operations. Prepare and present comprehensive reports on financial performance, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Desired Skills & Qualifications Proven experience in hotel management, with a strong background in operations, finance, and guest services. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in financial management. In-depth knowledge of hospitality industry trends and best practices. Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing business needs. Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
