Job Summary: The Ice Cream Commis 2 is responsible for assisting in the preparation, production, and presentation of all ice cream and frozen desserts in accordance with the standards set by the hotel or outlet. This role requires attention to detail, creativity, and maintaining high levels of hygiene and quality. Key Responsibilities: Assist in preparing a variety of ice creams, sorbets, gelato, and frozen desserts as per standard recipes and presentation guidelines. Ensure mise-en-place is ready before service time. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the ice cream production area. Support senior chefs in developing new flavors and recipes. Monitor and maintain appropriate storage and temperature of frozen products. Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times (HACCP). Label and store all ingredients and products properly. Report any equipment malfunction or safety hazard to the supervisor. Minimize waste through proper handling and storage. Assist in inventory control and stock rotation. Requirements: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a pastry or cold kitchen, preferably with experience in ice cream production. Basic knowledge of ingredients used in ice cream and dessert making. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and creativity. Willingness to learn and grow in the culinary field. Flexible to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays. Culinary diploma or certificate preferred.
