Purpose of the Position We are seeking a creative and technically proficient Furniture Product Designer to lead the design and development of high-end furniture collections. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for design, deep material knowledge, and the ability to bring concepts to life from sketch to showroom. Key Responsibilities & Duties Research market trends, customer preferences, and materials to develop informed design concepts Create original furniture designs that balance visual appeal, ergonomics, functionality, and cost-efficiency Produce detailed sketches, CAD models, and technical drawings for production and prototyping Source and evaluate materials, finishes, hardware, and components for design feasibility and quality Collaborate closely with engineering, production, marketing, and sales teams to ensure smooth product development Refine prototypes based on testing and stakeholder feedback Present design concepts and prototypes to internal teams and clients Maintain awareness of sustainability trends and innovative materials in furniture and interior design Ensure that all designs comply with quality, safety, and environmental standards Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and internal design reviews Education Bachelor’s degree in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field. Work Experience & Skills Total Experience: Minimum 3 years in a product or furniture design role Design Expertise: Proven portfolio demonstrating furniture designs from concept to production Strong understanding of joinery, materials, upholstery, and manufacturing techniques Software Proficiency: CAD & 3D modeling: Rhino, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, SketchUp Visualization & Rendering: KeyShot, V-Ray Design & Layout: Adobe Creative Suite Professional Skills: Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills Understanding of sustainable and environmentally friendly design principles Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external vendors Show more Show less
