Role Overview

Functional Consultant

Key Responsibilities

Client Requirement Gathering & Analysis

• Work closely with clients to understand and document business requirements.
• Perform gap analysis between current and future state processes.
• Design functional workflows aligned with client objectives.

Finance & System Collaboration

• Partner with finance teams to optimize processes and ensure system adoption.
• Liaise between business stakeholders and technical teams for solution delivery.
• Support pre-sales with functional insights, demos, and solution mapping.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare functional documentation, SOPs, and user manuals.
• Conduct client training and workshops for process enablement.
• Ensure timely reporting and updates for stakeholders.

Key Skills & Requirements

• 4–5 years of experience as a Functional Consultant / Business Analyst in finance-focused roles.
• Strong understanding of financial processes, reporting, and workflows.
• Experience with ERP/financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications.
• Excellent client management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (preferred).
• Exposure to financial consulting or ERP implementations is a strong plus.
