Modozo is re-engineering India’s fashion supply chain. We’re building a single operating system that lets designers, sourcing teams, vendors, and brand managers collaborate in real time—cutting time-to-market by 40 % and turning “trend-misses” into “trend-wins.” 

Why This Role Matters

Our early customers love the clean, collaborative UI that differentiates us from Excel- and WhatsApp-driven competitors. You’ll own that experience end-to-end—while also diving into the Node/Express back-end whenever a feature crosses the front-/back-end boundary. Think of yourself as the bridge between pixel-perfect interfaces and robust APIs. 

What You’ll Do

• Build delightful UIs

   in React + TypeScript with Tailwind and component libraries shadcn, Radix, etc.)—responsive, accessible, and fast. 

• Design front-end architecture

   that scales: state management (Redux / Zustand), code-splitting, SSR/SSG where it helps. 

• Ship full-stack features

   : create REST/GraphQL endpoints in Express/Node, wire them to MongoDB, and surface data in the UI. 

• Integrate AI-powered interactions

   (e.g., prompt-driven workflows, auto-suggestions) via OpenAI or comparable services. 

• Collaborate tightly

   with product, design, and the founding team; convert Figma files and lo-fi sketches into production code. 

• Own quality

   : write unit/integration tests, set up CI pipelines, and perform code reviews to maintain a healthy codebase. 

• Optimize performance

   —from lighthouse scores to database queries. 

• Document and mentor

  : keep the README, Storybook, and API docs fresh; coach junior devs and contractors as we scale. 

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• 3-6 years building production web apps, at least 2 years with 

  React and Node.js/Express

  . 

• Strong grasp of 

  modern JavaScript/TypeScript

   , HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox/Grid), and responsive design.

• Experience designing and consuming 

  REST and/or GraphQL APIs

   ; comfortable with MongoDB or another NoSQL DB.

• Familiarity with 

  CI/CD

   (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.) and containerization (Docker). 

• Solid testing discipline—Jest, React Testing Library, Supertest, or similar.

• Ability to translate product specs into incremental, releasable user stories and ship quickly in an agile setup.

• Clear, concise communicator who thrives in an early-stage, high-ownership environment. 

Nice-to-Haves

• Prior work on B2B SaaS dashboards or supply-chain/ERP platforms. 

• Exposure to 

  Next.js , Vite

  , or SSR frameworks. 

• Knowledge of authentication/authorization patterns (JWT, OAuth) and basic DevOps (AWS/GCP, Terraform). 

• Interest in data-visualization libraries (Recharts, D3) and designing design-system components. 

• Passion for fashion-tech or previous experience in e-commerce / supply-chain domains.
