Job Description

As an Assistant at Marriott International, your role involves supporting management in various aspects such as training, evaluating, counseling, motivating, and coaching employees. You will be expected to serve as a role model and the first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process. Building and maintaining positive working relationships within the team to achieve common goals is a key aspect of this position. Additionally, you will need to listen and respond appropriately to employee concerns while following company policies and procedures. It is essential to report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to your manager and complete safety training and certifications. Maintaining a clean and professional personal appearance, ensuring confidentiality of proprietary information, and protecting company assets are crucial responsibilities. Part of your role will involve welcoming and acknowledging guests, anticipating and addressing their service needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and expressing genuine appreciation to guests. Communication skills are essential, including speaking clearly and professionally, preparing and reviewing written documents accurately and completely, and answering telephones with appropriate etiquette. Adherence to quality standards, information entry and retrieval using computers/POS systems, and physical tasks such as standing, sitting, walking for extended periods, and moving objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance are part of the job requirements. Additionally, you may be asked to perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors. Preferred qualifications for this role include a High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent in Education. At least 1 year of related work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience are preferred. No specific License or Certification is required for this position.
