Role Description

We are seeking a Freelance Legal Automation and AI Specialist to assist an employment law team in digitizing, automating, and simplifying their work processes. The role will involve building automated workflows, developing AI-powered tools, and improving document management systems using Microsoft 365, Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint), and Microsoft 365 Copilot. The successful candidate will work closely with the team to streamline legal operations, enhance user experience, and drive efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain automated processes using Microsoft Power Automate, SharePoint, Outlook, and MS Forms to automate document creation, legal agreement drafting, and settlement execution.
• Integrate Adobe Sign for digital signatures, payment processing, and automated document storage.
• Develop and manage Power BI dashboards to visualize case management metrics, legal spend, compliance tracking, and other key performance indicators.
• Consolidate data from various sources (Excel files, SharePoint sites, and enterprise data lakes) to support reporting and analysis.
• Design, train, and deploy Copilot AI agents for document summarization, position statement drafting, and intake analysis.
• Assist in building and maintaining knowledge bases for chatbots and Copilot agents.
• Redesign SharePoint pages and improve navigation to create an intuitive and user-friendly experience for non-technical users (attorneys).
• Collaborate with the team to identify pain points, provide process improvements, and upskill team members to maintain the solutions independently after the engagement ends.
• Provide daily updates, collaborate with teammates, and adapt to fast-paced project timelines.

Candidate Requirements:

• 3–5 years of experience in Microsoft 365, Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint), and Copilot.
• Proven experience in automating workflows and developing AI-powered tools, particularly within the legal or business environment.
• Strong skills in UX/UI design to improve SharePoint user interfaces for non-technical users.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple small projects efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet tight deadlines, and quickly deliver results.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with developing AI Copilot solutions within a closed enterprise system.
• Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and their application in process design
