Role Description We are seeking a skilled KQL Developer with a strong background in data engineering and Azure Data Explorer (ADX) . This is a freelance role ideal for someone who excels at writing and optimizing Kusto Query Language (KQL) for large-scale data processing and analytics pipelines. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop complex KQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. Work with Azure Data Explorer to build scalable, high-performance data solutions. Support data ingestion pipelines and real-time data processing tasks. Collaborate with the engineering and analytics teams to build and optimize datasets and reporting logic. Troubleshoot query performance issues and improve data access efficiency. Required Skills & Experience: 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields. Deep expertise in Kusto Query Language (KQL) . Hands-on experience with Azure Data Explorer (ADX) or similar platforms. Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and stream analytics. Strong SQL background and familiarity with time-series data. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred (Nice to Have): Experience with Azure Event Hub , Data Factory , or Power BI . Familiarity with distributed data systems and real-time analytics.
