• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Perfumery, or a related field.

The Fragrance Development Manager is responsible for managing the creative and technical development of fragrances across multiple product categories including personal care, home care, fine fragrance, and air care. The role involves close collaboration with perfumers, evaluators, marketing, and sales teams to ensure client satisfaction and project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with perfumers and evaluators to translate client briefs into successful fragrance solutions.

• Drive the fragrance development process from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with market trends, technical feasibility, and customer expectations.

• Coordinate internal cross-functional teams (Marketing, R&D, Regulatory, Production) to deliver projects within timeline and budget.

• Manage and guide fragrance submissions tailored to customer requirements, region-specific preferences, and regulatory standards.

• Maintain strong relationships with clients, understand their product needs, and support them with fragrance recommendations and modifications.

• Conduct competitive benchmarking, market trend analysis, and consumer insight studies.

• Monitor product stability, olfactive performance, and compatibility across various applications.

• Lead sensory evaluation panels and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and training sessions.

• Support sampling logistics, documentation, and technical data sharing for customers.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of fragrance families, olfactive profiles, and market preferences.

• Ability to translate marketing insights and trends into actionable fragrance strategies.

• Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience working with GC/MS, stability testing, and formulation support is a plus.

• Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with fragrance management systems (e.g., SAP, Scentmate, Oracle) is advantageous.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Perfumery, or a related field.

• Formal training in fragrance or perfumery (e.g., ISIPCA, Givaudan School, or internal fragrance houses) is a strong advantage.

• Prior experience in a fragrance house, FMCG, or fragrance application lab preferred.

Preferred Industry Exposure:

• Personal Care (shampoos, soaps, creams)

• Home Care (detergents, floor cleaners, air fresheners)

• Fine Fragrances (EDPs, colognes, body sprays)

• Air Care (diffusers, aerosol sprays, incense)
