Job Description

Role Overview: You will be part of The Finance Business & Technology (FBT) organization at bp, which is focused on modernizing and digitizing finance activities. Specifically, you will join the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, playing a critical role in driving end-to-end process control and compliance. Your responsibilities will include delivering best-in-class financial insights and analysis to support business decisions, contributing to the standardization of processes, and driving operational excellence within the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with onsite technical and finance leadership in different geographies to gain a deep understanding of the business context - Develop insightful financial products to support decision-making - Manage planning and performance management work - Coach less experienced analysts and effectively manage collaborator expectations - Prepare insightful financial management information to support business decisions - Perform economic analysis to evaluate the financial viability of projects or scenarios - Promote the use of new and standardized systems for continuous improvement - Work with peers in remote locations to establish positive working culture and drive process optimization - Coach junior team members and drive cross-team collaboration Qualification Required: - Educational qualifications: Business/Finance or Engineering Subject area Degree level or equivalent - Preferred education/certifications: Masters Degree or post-graduate qualification in a finance subject area e.g. MBA, CA, ICWA/Cost Accountants - Minimum years of relevant experience: 15 years of relevant post degree experience in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting in an Oil and Gas business or other relevant industries - Extensive Performance Reporting experience in large scale organizations - Proficiency in financial systems such as SAP, Microsoft products, and visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau - Ability to manage relationships with regulatory authorities and stakeholders at various levels Additional Details of the Company: You will be working with a team of finance professionals as part of the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) organization. The FP&A team is a new team established by bp to create a center of expertise in business planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and economic evaluation. You will also interact with Business/Functions senior leadership and various technical and leadership teams in onsite locations.
