Elchemy is a tech-enabled cross-border specialty chemicals marketplace. Our vision is to become the largest global speciality chemicals distributor focussing on discovery and fulfillment using a tech-first approach. 

Chemicals is an extremely important large and fragmented market with multiple inefficiencies in cross border trade. The global speciality chemicals market is $800bn growing at a CAGR of 5.7%. The industry faces glaring challenges including lack of trust, excessive lead times, quality uncertainty, lack of transparency and tons of operational challenges.

In the past 20 months of the company's operation, we have scaled up our operations serving in more than 32 countries and have active partnerships with more than 100s of customers and suppliers. The company has raised a total of upwards of $7.5mn from marquee investors like InfoEdge Ventures, Prime Venture Partners and from promoters of companies like Vinati Organics, Laxmi Organics, and Coromandel International.

Our highly ambitious team comprises alumni from IITs, IIMs, NITs and have extensive experience of working in startups as well as multinational companies. We want to create a team with A-players and rockstars in all roles. When such a team comes together, no vision seems unachievable, and everyone pushes to deliver outstanding results.



US Market Expansion & Growth Ownership

  • Own the GTM strategy and P&L for the

    chemicals vertical

    in the US market.
  • Identify high-potential white spaces, win new business, and scale Elchemy’s footprint across untapped regions and customer segments.
  • Obsess over growth — from the first customer convo to the final invoice.

Build & Lead a Sales Rocketship

  • Hire, coach, and lead a lean, high-performance sales squad that thrives on ownership and velocity.
  • Set clear OKRs, drive team accountability, and champion a culture of hustle, experimentation, and constant iteration.
  • Make the team 10x better with you than without you.

Customer Obsession & Key Account Growth

  • Build deep, strategic relationships with top accounts.
  • Unlock upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and embed Elchemy into their supply chain DNA.
  • Be the go-to for anything from problem-solving to future planning.

Strategic Sales Execution

  • Translate business vision into a focused sales playbook — from targeting and outreach to closing and retention.
  • Prioritize what moves the needle. Kill what doesn’t.
  • Partner cross-functionally (product, supply chain, ops) to ensure we deliver on our promises — fast.

Sales-Tech Stack & Data-Driven Ops

  • Champion CRM adoption, sales automation, and performance dashboards to make selling smarter and faster.
  • Use data not just to report, but to act.
  • Enable the team to spend less time on admin and more time selling.

Insights, Feedback Loops & Market Intelligence

  • Stay plugged into customer behavior, competitive intel, and market shifts.
  • Feed insights back into product, strategy, and leadership to drive better decisions.
  • Be the eyes and ears on the ground — and the voice in the boardroom.


What We’re Looking For (Skills & Qualities)

  • 12+ years

    in B2B sales in the global market
  • Techno-commercial thinker who can blend deep product knowledge with strategic deal-making
  • Proven track record of owning and scaling a sales function in fast-moving environments
  • Strong people leader — you’ve built, mentored, and scaled sales teams
  • Experience managing

    distributors, enterprise clients, and channel partners

  • Strong business acumen with

    P&L ownership mindset

  • Startup DNA: bias for action, high ownership, low ego, relentless drive
  • Bonus: Experience in an early-stage or high-growth environment
