Position: Food Technologist
Qualification: M.Sc. / B.E. in Food Technology
Experience: 1–2 Years
Location: Indore

Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified and passionate Food Technologist with 1–2 years of experience to support product development, quality control, and food safety initiatives. The ideal candidate will assist in developing new food products, improving existing processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Development & Innovation

  • Support the development of new food products from concept to production stage.
  • Assist in recipe formulation, sensory evaluation, and shelf-life studies.
  • Conduct trials for process improvements and product enhancement.

2. Quality Control & Assurance

  • Perform daily quality checks on raw materials, in-process items, and finished products.
  • Monitor CCPs, quality parameters, and maintain QC records as per company procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety standards such as FSSAI, ISO, HACCP, GMP, and GHP.

3. Production Support

  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure product quality and process compliance.
  • Assist in resolving quality-related issues during manufacturing.
  • Ensure proper implementation of SOPs and maintain hygiene standards in the plant.

4. Food Safety & Compliance

  • Support internal audits, documentation, and implementation of food safety systems.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and assist in external audits.
  • Ensure proper calibration of equipment and maintain related documentation.

5. Laboratory Analysis

  • Conduct microbiological, chemical, and physical testing of food samples.
  • Ensure accuracy, reliability, and timely reporting of test results.
  • Maintain lab equipment, reagents, and ensure good laboratory practices.

6. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, batch records, and QA/QC documentation.
  • Maintain sample management records and support data analysis for continuous improvement.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of FSSAI guidelines, food safety, and quality systems.
  • Hands-on experience in microbiological and chemical analysis.
  • Good understanding of production processes in food manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Good communication and technical reporting skills.

Preferred Background

  • M.Sc. / B.E. in Food Technology / Food Science / Dairy Technology / Biotechnology.
  • 1–2 years of experience in QC, QA, R&D, or production within the food industry.
