Job Description: Food Technologist (Factory)
Position Title: Food Technologist Location: Valapad Employment Type: Full-time Key Responsibilities 1. Product Development & Improvement ¢ Develop new food products based on market requirements. Improve existing products for taste, texture, shelf life, and cost efficiency. Conduct trials, pilot production, and scale-up processes. 2. Quality Control & Assurance ¢ ¢ ¢ Ensure all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Monitor CCPs (Critical Control Points) as per HACCP & FSMS. Conduct routine quality checks on raw materials, in-process, and finished goods. 3. Production Support ¢ ¢ ¢ Assist the production team in implementing recipes, processing parameters, and standards. Troubleshoot process deviations and quality issues on the factory floor. Optimize processing conditions to improve efficiency and reduce waste. 4. Documentation & Compliance ¢ ¢ ¢ Maintain product specifications, batch records, SOPs, and quality logs. Ensure compliance with FSSAI / FDA / ISO / GMP requirements. Conduct internal audits and support external audits. 5. Supplier & Raw Material Management

¢ Evaluate new raw materials and suppliers. Ensure raw material quality and adherence to specifications. 6. Sensory Evaluation ¢ ¢ Conduct sensory analysis of products and competitor samples. Document results and provide insights to management. Skills & Qualifications Educational Requirements ¢ B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Food Technology, Food Science, Dairy Science, Biotechnology, or related field. Technical Skills ¢ ¢ ¢ Knowledge of food processing machinery and manufacturing systems. Understanding of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, and food safety regulations. Ability to handle lab equipment and conduct chemical/microbiological tests. Soft Skills ¢ ¢ ¢ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and documentation skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced factory environment. Experience ¢ 15 years of experience in food manufacturing (e.g., bakery, dairy, snacks, beverages, ready- to-eat, spices, etc.). ¢ Freshers with strong technical knowledge may also be considered (customizable). Salary Range Based on experience and company standards (can be customized).
