Food Production Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning & Execution

• Plan, schedule, and manage daily production activities to meet targets and deadlines.
• Supervise the operation of processing equipment such as formers, fryers, freezers, blanchers, and IQF lines.
• Maintain raw material and packaging stock coordination with supply chain teams.

Team Management

• Lead and manage production staff across shifts.
• Train team members on SOPs, safety practices, and hygiene standards.
• Resolve operational issues and ensure smooth coordination between departments.

Quality & Hygiene Assurance

• Ensure products meet company standards for quality, texture, taste, and shelf life.
• Coordinate with the QA/QC team for in-process checks and documentation.
• Enforce GMP, HACCP, and food safety norms on the shop floor.

Process Improvement

• Monitor and optimize production efficiency, wastage control, and yield improvements.
• Identify process bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• Assist in scaling up new product trials from lab to commercial production.

Maintenance & Equipment Oversight

• Coordinate with maintenance team for equipment servicing and uptime.
• Maintain proper records of machine performance, downtimes, and troubleshooting.

Requirements:

• Education:

• B.Tech / M.Tech in Food Technology, Food Engineering, or related discipline.

• Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in food production (preferably frozen food sector like fries, patties, spring rolls, etc.).

• Skills:

• Strong understanding of frozen food manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in operating and managing industrial equipment (IQF, fryers, formers).
• Familiarity with food safety regulations (FSSAI, HACCP, ISO).
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Candidates with experience in frozen snacks or QSR product lines preferred.
• Familiarity with production line automation and capacity expansion projects.
• Local candidates from Haryana, Punjab, or Himachal Pradesh will be given preference.
