Food and Beverage Manager

Job Summary

The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing all food and beverage operations of the hotel to ensure high service standards, guest satisfaction, profitability, and compliance with statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Operations

• Oversee daily operations of restaurants, bars, banquets, room service, and cafés
• Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen and service teams
• Maintain quality, hygiene, and service standards as per hotel policy
• Handle guest complaints and feedback professionally

Staff Management

• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise F&B staff
• Conduct performance evaluations and motivate the team
• Ensure proper grooming, discipline, and adherence to SOPs

Financial Management

• Prepare and control F&B budgets
• Monitor food & beverage costs, wastage, and inventory
• Maximize revenue through upselling and promotions
• Approve purchases and manage vendor relationships

Menu & Event Management

• Coordinate with Executive Chef on menu planning and pricing
• Organize banquets, weddings, conferences, and special events
• Plan festival menus and Kerala-themed promotions

Guest Experience

• Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction
• Build relationships with regular and corporate clients
• Ensure authentic Kerala hospitality and cultural sensitivity

Requirements & Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management or Hospitality
• 1–2 years of experience in F&B operations (Kerala experience preferred)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Knowledge of Kerala cuisine and beverage operations
• Familiarity with POS systems and inventory software
• Fluency in English, Hindi and Malayalam preferred
