Job Overview:

The Food and Beverage department at The Oberoi Mumbai is dedicated to providing exceptional dining experiences to guests in an elegant, luxurious, and personalized setting. As a member of the F&B team, you will contribute to the hotel's high standards of service, quality, and hospitality. You will be responsible for delivering an outstanding guest experience through the execution of food and beverage services, ensuring guests satisfaction at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Service

    :
    • Greet and interact with guests to ensure a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere.
    • Take orders for food and beverages, ensuring that dietary restrictions and preferences are met.
    • Provide knowledgeable recommendations about the menu, beverages, and daily specials.
    • Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner.
    • Address guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and efficiently, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Food & Beverage Service

    :
    • Prepare and serve beverages, including alcoholic drinks, coffee, and non-alcoholic beverages as per hotel standards.
    • Set up and clear dining areas, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for the next guest.
    • Ensure that all food and beverages are served according to hotel quality standards.
    • Maintain inventory levels and report any shortages or discrepancies to management.
  • Quality Control

    :
    • Ensure adherence to hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards, including local health and safety regulations.
    • Monitor the quality of food and beverage items to ensure they meet guest expectations and Oberoi Hotels standards.
  • Team Collaboration

    :
    • Work closely with kitchen staff, event coordinators, and other departments to ensure smooth service and high operational standards.
    • Participate in regular staff training and meetings to enhance service quality.
  • Up-selling and Revenue Generation

    :
    • Actively promote and upsell F&B offerings, including specialty menu items, premium drinks, and desserts.
    • Ensure additional sales opportunities are taken advantage of without compromising service quality.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education

    : A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, F&B, or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience

    : Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant is preferred. Experience with high-end customer service or in a prestigious establishment is a bonus.
  • Skills

    :
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
    • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent service.
    • Knowledge of food and beverage menus, wine pairings, and service etiquette.
  • Age limit

    : Below 25 years.
