Floor Manager

As the Hospital Floor Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a hospital floor. Your key duties will include coordinating between departments, managing staff workflow, ensuring quality patient care, and addressing operational issues in a timely manner. Acting as the liaison between nursing, support services, physicians, and administration will be crucial for effective communication and coordination. Your responsibilities will involve supervising nurses, aides, and support staff on the floor, managing shift assignments, coverage, and breaks, and ensuring staff adherence to hospital policies and protocols. You will also need to monitor cleanliness, equipment functionality, and supply availability, collaborating with housekeeping, maintenance, and supply chain teams for operational management. Patient care coordination will be a significant aspect of your role, requiring you to oversee timely admissions, discharges, and transfers, address patient or family concerns promptly, and assist in implementing patient care plans in collaboration with nurses and doctors. Compliance with healthcare regulations and safety protocols is essential, along with conducting regular audits and reporting incidents or violations. Effective communication skills will be vital as you serve as a point of contact for interdepartmental communication, facilitate shift handovers and team briefings, and maintain accurate reporting and documentation of activities, incidents, and staffing. You will report directly to Nursing Managers or Hospital Administration. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Hospital Administration, or a related field, along with previous experience in hospital operations or a supervisory role. Knowledge of healthcare regulations and protocols, strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are necessary for success in this position. This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule, requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience in a hospital setting.
