Job Summary The Finishing and Packing Supervisor oversees the final stages of garment production, ensuring high-quality finishing, accurate packing, and timely delivery preparation. This role involves managing a team, maintaining quality standards, optimizing workflows, and ensuring compliance with safety and industry regulations. Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Management: Supervise, train, and motivate a team of finishing and packing staff to meet production targets and quality standards. Quality Control: Inspect garments for defects, ensuring all items meet design specifications, size accuracy, and quality requirements before packing. Process Oversight: Monitor finishing processes (e.g., pressing, folding, tagging) and packing operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to standard operating procedures. Inventory Management: Coordinate with the warehouse team to manage packing materials and ensure accurate inventory levels for labels, tags, and packaging supplies. Production Scheduling: Collaborate with the production manager to align finishing and packing schedules with overall production timelines. Safety and Compliance: Enforce workplace safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production output, quality issues, and team performance; provide regular reports to management. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve productivity in finishing and packing operations. Customer Satisfaction: Ensure garments are packed correctly to meet customer requirements, including labeling, packaging, and shipping specifications. QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in textile management, production, or a related field is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in garment manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role within finishing or packing. Skills: Strong knowledge of garment finishing techniques (e.g., ironing, steaming, folding) and packing processes. Leadership and team management abilities. Excellent attention to detail and quality control expertise. Familiarity with inventory management and production scheduling. Basic computer skills for reporting and inventory tracking. Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
