We are looking for an experienced Purchase Executive with a strong background in textiles and garmenting, specifically for industrial and protective workwear. The candidate should have in-depth knowledge of fabrics, trims, accessories, and supply chain management relevant to the workwear industry. Key Responsibilities Fabric Procurement: Source and purchase woven/knitted fabrics for workwear (cotton, polyester, poly-cotton blends, FR/IFR fabrics, high-visibility fabrics, etc.) Ensure quality standards in GSM, weave, finishes, and certifications (EN, NFPA, ANSI, AS/NZS where applicable). Liaise with mills, traders, and agents to secure best prices and lead times. Threads, Trims & Accessories: Source industrial sewing threads (e.g., polyester core spun, Nomex/Aramid for FR garments). Manage procurement of reflective tapes, zippers, buttons, snaps, Velcro, interlinings, labels, and packaging material. Ensure trims comply with technical requirements of protective garments. Vendor Development & Negotiation: Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors for fabrics and trims. Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules. Maintain vendor performance records and ensure timely supply. Inventory & Planning: Plan purchases in line with production schedules and sales orders.
