Position Title: Senior Media Income Analyst

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Finance Analyst to join our dynamic finance team.

The Commercial Finance Analyst will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the financial performance of our media income streams. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of media income dynamics, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments to drive financial success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and monitor media income streams to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to media income.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes and strategic planning.
• Collaborate with multiple teams within network to develop and implement pricing strategies, revenue optimization initiatives.
• Evaluate and assess the financial viability and profitability of media projects and initiatives.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between actual and budgeted figures and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for media income streams.
• Monitor and manage client contracts, ensuring accurate invoicing, revenue recognition, and compliance with contractual terms.
• Support the negotiation of commercial agreements and contracts with clients, vendors, and partners.
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes impacting media income.
• Identify and investigate discrepancies, collaborating with internal teams and external partners for resolution.
• Generate precise and timely invoices for media services provided.
• Oversee the collection process, addressing client inquiries and facilitating prompt payments.
• Income Distribution:
• Coordinate the distribution of media income to relevant stakeholders in accordance with contractual agreements.
• Ensure compliance with distribution policies and calculations.
• Execute month-end financial processes, including reconciliation, accruals, and adjustments.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely month-end closure.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal financial policies.
• Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and implement necessary adjustments.

Qualifications:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with more than 5 years’ of experience in commercial finance, preferably within the media industry.
• Strong understanding of media income dynamics, advertising sales, and revenue models.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
