Job Description


We are seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Finance and Accounting to lead the department. This role will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing insights to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust accounting policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and organizational objectives.
  • Confirming timely and accurate preparation financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for insightful financial analysis.
  • Budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to deliver data-driven financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Manage external audits and liaise with auditors to ensure compliance and resolve any issues.
  •  Formulate and manage the organization's tax strategy, ensuring full compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations while optimizing tax liabilities.
  •  Stay informed on changes in financial regulations, implementing necessary adjustments to ensure ongoing compliance and mitigating potential risks.
  • Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Effectively communicate financial insights and performance metrics to stakeholders, fostering transparency and informed decision-making throughout the organization.
  • ​Identify potential financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the organization's financial health and sustainability.

  • Requirements

    Ideal Candidate:

    ·       CA, Master's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field

    ·       7-10+ years of experience, preferably in fintech/NBFCs/B2B marketplace

    ·       Strong understanding of financial systems and processes

    ·       Proven experience in managing budgets, cash flow, and financial analysis

    ·       Strong leadership skills and highly motivated to lead a team

    ·       Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills

    ·       Ability to think strategically and provide solutions for business challenges

    ·       Experience in a start-up environment is advantageous
