Field Engineer

Location: Bengaluru Department: IT Support Reports to: Senior Engineer - IT support Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Engineer to join our IT support team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing laptops and desktops, both under warranty and out of warranty, ensuring high-quality technical support and customer satisfaction. This role is ideal for individuals who are eager to develop their technical skills and gain hands-on experience in IT hardware support. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues for laptops and desktops. Perform repairs, upgrades, and maintenance on various computer models, ensuring compliance with warranty and service agreements. Collaborate with senior engineers to resolve complex technical problems and escalations. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their technical issues and service updates. Maintain accurate records of repairs, service requests, and inventory management. Assist in the installation and configuration of operating systems, drivers, and applications. Conduct routine maintenance and performance checks on devices. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to computer hardware and support. Qualifications: Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. 0-2 years of experience in IT support, specifically with laptops and desktops. Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems (Windows, macOS, etc.). Familiarity with diagnostic tools and repair techniques for laptops and desktops. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
